Cant Post In Category

0

What I want to achieve is to setup a private forum (I've seen that register is OFF in this mode and users can only be added by invitations). In this private forum, Ive created categories as following:

1 where only admins can post threads, but all members should be able to see and comment vin those treads
2. where any member should be able to create and comment on threads.

Thing is, I don't seem to be able to achieve this due to a few errors explained below:

403

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

You do not have permissions to create thread in Interes general category.

I get this message while I try to post as super admin in a category that has View & Create Permision for Member.
But I can't do it either as a Member, since in the category list the categories can't be selected and can't create content without selecting a category.

Forum mode is set as PRIVATE, but i've tried testing both as public with same outcome.

If I set up the category View or Create permission (both or any of the two) i get this error:

500

Server error
Sorry, server encountered an error, please try again later.

SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1366 Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'view_group' at row 1 (Connection: mysql, SQL: update categories set active = 1, private = 0, view_group = , create_group = , categories.updated_at = 2024-11-05 14:40:23 where id = 1)

Not sure if I missed some settings, but I don't remember seinganything related to this before.

Hi, I've downloaded and installed the latest update released (rc22).

Categroy permissions:

View: All
Create: All

Now, I can set up cathegories for all the accounts. But, when I try to create a new thread with a user account, I get: 403 error:

403
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

Also, the category permisions are set as:

View: All
Create: Member

In this case, from the member account, I can't select the category to add the new tread.

EDIT - ignore previous post pls.

Hi, I've downloaded and installed the latest update released (rc22).

Now, I can set up categories for all the accounts and permisions seem to work fine now.
But, when I try to create a new thread with a user account (Category persmissions are set as: View: All, Create: All), I get: 403 error:

403
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

Also, the category permisions are set as:

View: All
Create: Member

In this case, from the member account, I can't select the category to add the new tread.

Back with the test results on demo page:

I've created as super admin 2 categories: Cat view all - Create All thread & Cat view all - Create Admin.

As a user, I cannot create a thread in the 1st category (Cat view all - Create All thread), alltough no errors were shown

As admin, I can crete a thread inside the Cat view all - Create Admin category (link: https://forum.tec.sh/threads/new-thread-as-admin-create-admin-view-all)

I hope it helps and you can figure it out soon.
thx for your support!
