Hello,
You need to set the domain/subdomain root path to public folder in your uploaded files.
The application key will be generated by the installer. If you are trying to install in subfolder then you will need to forward all traffic of the subfolder to public folder.

Thanks, sorted now. Can you advise how to increase the number of characters for email addresses as I have one over 25 characters

Hello,
Email address doesn't have a 25 characters limit. You can have up to string length of 255 for email.
Where are you getting the error for email? Can you please share the link?
