Resend Verification Email

Hello, it asks for the "RESEND VERIFICATION EMAIL". But the verification does not work and can not log out.
Any mail reception does not work! Can I also send a private message with url and access?

Please help.

Hello,

You can check/update the email config in the .env file. Emails were tested and should work. I will check them again along with logout in the next beta update.

hello and Thank you. I am not a professional, but I have set up similar scripts several times. Please give me an example of the email customization. After installation the .env file has not changed.

Please find then lines as following and update the values at right of =

MAIL_MAILER=smtp
MAIL_HOST=mailhog
MAIL_PORT=1025
MAIL_USERNAME=null
MAIL_PASSWORD=null
MAIL_FROM_ADDRESS="[email protected]"
MAIL_FROM_NAME="${APP_NAME}"

Hello Mian,
It does not work with the mails.
Also, there is a server error 500 when clicking on a category (https://forum.onyesh.one/knowledgebase). Where can I send them a link to my forum? Here I do not want to send a link. It's a pity that I can't start with my forum!

Hello,

The emails are tested. To test, you can use mailtrap.io or change the MAIL_MAILER to log and try again. Laravel will log the email to log file in storage/logs/ folder.

You can add a private reply here by enabling the PRIVATE for Staff only at the top right of reply section.

Hello,

I am sorry as I thought you were asking for the latest v2 beta release. I will check for your suggestion ion future beta updates.

The v1 will be removed once the beta is fully tested and stable.

For email setting in v1, please login as admin and then go to settings. There is mail section that you can use to update email settings.

Hello,

Thank you very much. I have installed only Simple Forum v2.0.0-beta.12.
I have not uploaded the version v1.5.0. Maybe this is the reason. So I have to upload version 1.5.0 first and then version v2.0.0?

Hello,

The screenshot you shared is of v1. But I feel like you are asking for v2 beta. I am confused.

Both are different and there is no update if you install v1. While v2 is complate app that will replace the v1 in future.

As I understand, you having issue with email? I told you the file for mail config. If you not sure how to edit it, please let know your email settings and server details in private reply so that I can help you update the config.
