Unable to import the sample csv file

I want to try to import products with a .csv file, but I am unable to. I tried to download the sample file and adjust my file according to it but it didn't work.
I tried to import the sample file directly, but that also gives an error:
Please check category code (IT). Category Code does not exist. Line No 1
Accordingly, I can never make a fully functional .csv file to import myself. How can I fix this?

Hi Chad,
I am not the admin of this page but I am going to help you as much as I can.
Importing with the sample file is really easy.
Before you import you need to make sure that all the categories are set in the system, each category need to have a CODE + Name
for example the error you are getting of IT, because you don't have a category called IT under the categories list,
to do that simply go to Settings- Categories and add the required categories and give it a code of IT.
you can give any code to your categories it is something you decide.
Also make sure that you use a UNIQUE code for each item you are trying to import.
