Negative Profits Observed For Some Outlets

We have been using SMA for over 2 years now and it's worked very well for us. However recently we started observing negative profit margins for some outlets. On checking of profit margins for each product, we observed that they were all correct but where the negative profits displayed come from is not identifiable. There is no product within our product list that has a negative margin so its unfathomable what could be the cause of this. Sometimes we could observe this during the early hours of the day but towards the evening, it evens off and becomes positive and at some other times, it just stays negative till the close of the day. What version of the SMA system are you using? Is it the latest version?
Then, from my experience, one of the ways that I have seen this happen is if someone has made a purchase with a negative cost. I have seen a client case where the staff intentionally does this to boost the daily captured profit at their location. Because of this, one of the first things I do for my clients is apply a JS negative validation check to fields that ought not to be negative, like product cost.
I will also suggest that @Mian Saleem consider applying this in the next update.

As @Enyinnaya Gift said this could be due to -ve purcahse or overselling. Overselling only works with AVCO and that could cause such issue too.
This might be due to few products, you can monitor the which prtoducts is causing the issue and the investigate that product.
